Mini Baby Cards

IMG_8564b

A friend of mine asked me a little while ago if I could make some baby cards for her to hand out to new moms at our church. I was thrilled that she asked me, and of course had ideas flowing through my brain immediately! I decided to make a coordinated set of DIY Mini Baby Cards for her to hand out, and I think they turned out adorably!

CTMH Baby Cards

I used my a hole bunch of my Close to My Heart scrapbooking supplies to make them! The reason I LOVE Close to My Heart so much is that the materials are SUPER affordable, and the paper comes in packages that are perfectly coordinated! Before I bought from Close to My Heart (CTMH), I always found the hardest part of handmade cards and scrapbook pages was finding papers that coordinated nicely. Not a problem any more!

For this set of cards, I used the Noted paper pack (no longer for sale), and the coordinating gold sticker embellishments.

For this first card, I embossed the pink and blue paper with my heart embossing folder. I used coordinating stamps to stamp “It’s a boy/girl!”, and I added some twine, and a simple white button from the dollar store :)

I wasn’t sure which one I liked better, so for this card, I used the heart embossing folder, and the chevron embossing folder to add my texture. Then I stamped baby carriages in coordinating colours. Finally, I added a peak of white shimmer trim ribbon, and three tiny pearls to decorate the cards.

I think this set of cards was my favourite. I just love the little peak-a-boo dots under the cards! I used my scallop punch to round make the scallop on the bottom of the front flap, and then added some paper underneath. Finally, I added simple gold hearts, white shimmer trim ribbon, and a matching mint ribbon (from the dollar store!).

On these cards I used the heart and polkadot embossing folders to add texture. Then I added some hanging banners with coordinating paper, and put little gold embellishments all over.

And that’s it! Eight super easy DIY baby cards!
If you plan to go to my church and plan to have a baby, you may get one of these cute cards one day :)
